Privacy Policy
Last updated September 3, 2026
This policy explains what Lockwave collects, why, and your choices. We aim to collect only what we need to run the Service.
Information we collect
- Account details: your email and password (stored hashed) for creators; the email you enter at checkout for members.
- Payment information: handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We never see or store full card numbers — only limited details like the last four digits and subscription status.
- Usage data: views, unlocks, approximate location from IP, device/browser info, and timestamps, used for analytics and fraud prevention.
How we use it
To provide and secure the Service, process payments and payouts, send transactional emails (receipts, renewal notices, account and cancellation confirmations), prevent fraud, and comply with law.
Who we share it with
We share data only with providers that help us operate: our payment processor (Stripe) for billing and payouts, the offer network for unlock attribution, and our email provider for transactional messages. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember an active membership so gated content stays unlocked. We do not use them to build advertising profiles.
Retention & security
We keep data for as long as your account is active or as needed for legal, tax, and fraud-prevention purposes, then delete or anonymize it. We use industry-standard safeguards, though no system is perfectly secure.
Your rights
You can request access to or deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements. Email support@lockwave.net and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
Lockwave is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes & contact
We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here. Contact us at support@lockwave.net.
